Who I Am

My name is Tom Lilly. I’m a professional bassist, producer, composer and electric bass instructor.

As a bass instructor, I am extremely invested in the success of my students, and whether playing bass is an exploration of curiosity, a serious hobby or a career goal, I can definitely help you.

My preferred method of teaching is one-on-one, face-to-face private electric bass lessons.

I’ve garnered much success with bass students of all levels and all ages by teaching in this setting.

I very much enjoy working with beginner players, intermediate players and advanced players in an effort to achieve their widely varied goals.

Additionally, I’ve had a ton of experience as a student myself, as a teacher and as a professional bassist in the real world, and you can view my resume by clicking here. (link is currently under construction)

There’s interesting stories and inspiring people behind every endeavor in my professional career

From Dallas’ Booker T. Washington High School to North Texas State University School Of Music to Los Angeles and around the world as a working musician, it’s been one huge awesome adventure!

I’ve been fortunate to have so many great opportunities, esteemed colleagues and generous mentors along the way.

The places I’ve been, the people I’ve met, the things I’ve seen and done…all so incredible! And all made possible because of my music career.

It’s my hope that I can help other aspiring bassists create their own fantastic and memorable adventures through involvement in music.

I am currently providing comprehensive private instruction on electric bass for bassists of all levels and all ages, in many of the far-north Dallas communities.
